AIUB Finance Club (AFiC), in collaboration with the Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market (BICM), successfully organized an Investor Education Program titled “Investment in Capital Market” for members of the club on 13 August 2026. The event marked a meaningful initiative toward enhancing students’ understanding of capital market investment and promoting informed financial decision-making.
Held at the BICM Multipurpose Hall, the program provided participants with an engaging platform to explore the fundamentals of capital market investment, investment practices, and the importance of making informed financial decisions. Through practical and informative sessions, students gained valuable insights into the dynamics of the capital market and the knowledge required to navigate investment opportunities effectively.
The event featured insightful sessions conducted by Md. Habibullah, FCCA, Assistant Professor, BICM; Dr. Tamanna Islam, Assistant Professor, BICM; and Imran Mahmud, Lecturer, BICM. Drawing from their academic and professional expertise, the speakers shared valuable perspectives on capital market investment and helped participants connect theoretical financial concepts with practical investment considerations.
The closing ceremony was honored by the presence of Wajid Hasan Shah, Executive President, BICM, who attended the event as the Chief Guest. His presence added significance to the initiative and reflected the importance of strengthening financial and capital market literacy among university students.
The program was also graced by the presence of the esteemed mentors of AIUB Finance Club, Bohi Shajahan, Senior Assistant Professor, Department of Finance, and Quazi Nur Alam, Assistant Professor, Department of Finance. Their continued support and encouragement played an important role in facilitating the initiative and reinforcing the club’s commitment to providing students with meaningful opportunities for practical financial education.
