On Wednesday, August 19, 2026, the AIUB Business Club (ABC), with the support of the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), AIUB, successfully organized Season 2.0 of Prime Bank PLC presents “Empowering Youth: Engaging and Inspiring Youth in Banking” at the Multipurpose Hall, Annex-7, American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB). Mr. Safwan Hossain and Ms. Irfat Nahar Orin hosted the event and kept the session active and engaging throughout. The event aimed to connect students with the banking industry and give them useful knowledge about career opportunities and the corporate world.

The session featured two guest speakers from Prime Bank PLC:

• Mr. MM Mahbub Hasan– Senior Vice President & Head of Financial Inclusion & School Banking, Prime Bank PLC
• Mr. Md. Imran Hossain – Senior Vice President & Regional Head, Branches Distribution, Prime Bank PLC

Prof. Dr. Saiful Islam, Vice Chancellor, greeted the Prime Bank PLC Officials and opened the event with his inspirational words, followed by welcome addresses by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Faridul Alam, Director of the Graduate Program, and Prof. Dr. Md. Faruque Hossain, Department of Operations and Supply Chain Management, FBA, and Member of the Research & Publication Steering Committee, AIUB. The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Stanley Rodrick, Associate Professor, Dept. of Marketing, Special Assistant, Office of Student Affairs, and Mentor, AIUB Business Club; Mr. Hamidul Islam, Associate Professor, Dept. of Marketing, and Special Assistant, Office of Student Affairs; and distinguished guests from Prime Bank PLC, Mr. Mohammad Sajjadul Islam, FAVP, Human Resources Division, Ms. Afroza Abedin, SAVP and Head of Bashundhara Branch, and Mr. Mohammad Feroz Alam, SAVP, Financial Inclusion and School Banking.

The speakers shared their professional experiences, banking knowledge, and useful career advice with the students. They also talked about the banking industry and helped students understand the skills and knowledge needed to build a successful career in this field. Their presence added great value to the program and encouraged the students to learn from the industry professionals.

The event also included a mock interview session, where students got the opportunity to experience a real interview environment and learn how to prepare for future job interviews. A Q&A session was also arranged, allowing students to ask questions directly to the speakers and gain valuable insights into careers, banking, and professional life. The event concluded with a token of appreciation presented to the corporate guests from Prime Bank PLC and AIUB officials.

Overall, the event gave students a valuable opportunity to learn directly from experienced professionals, improve their interview skills, and better understand the corporate banking world. The session ended with an engaging and informative experience for all the students who attended the program.
