Industrial Visit to Pasha Transformer Limited, Gazipur

On 29 August 2026, the Faculty of Engineering (FE), American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), organized a visit to the Pasha Transformers Limited, a leading Electrical Transformer supplier in Bangladesh. It is a sister concern of Pasha Group. A group of 22 students from the EEE Department participated in this visit. The visit was supported by the Engineering Students' Association of Bangladesh (ESAB) - AIUB Unit Face.

The visit was organized with the support and coordination of Prof. Dr. Muhibul Haque Bhuyan (Professor, Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering). Mr. Shaoran Sayem, (Lecturer, Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering) also accompanied the students as a faculty member and assisted Prof. Dr. Bhuyan throughout the visit.

Engr. Md. Aynal Hossain (Manager (Production)) and Mr. Md. Rubel Hossain (Assistant Manager (HR and Admin)) of Pasha Transformers Limited received the AIUB team upon their arrival. After that, the visiting team was taken on a guided tour inside the factory. This segment of the visit was guided by Engr. Md. Aynal, who demonstrated the complete transformer manufacturing process, beginning with core cutting, coil winding, insulation, terminal connection, chemical treatment, casing, and oil-cooling arrangements. The students observed the production of single-phase transformers rated at 6.35 kV on the HT side and 240 V on the LT side, with capacities ranging from 5 kVA to 100 kVA. The visit concluded with demonstrations of open-circuit, short-circuit, high-voltage, dielectric oil, and loss-tangent testing, through which transformer performance and compliance with design specifications are evaluated.

The students expressed their warm gratitude to the authority of Pasha group for their great support and guidance. The visit was an enriched learning experience, allowing the students to gain invaluable insights into the transformer manufacturing process and its working principles.
