The Seminar on Financial Literacy, organized by AIUB Finance Club – AFiC, marked an insightful and engaging initiative toward strengthening students’ understanding of financial awareness, informed decision-making, and practical money management. Bringing together valuable insights, interactive learning, and real-world financial perspectives, the session created an enriching platform for students to explore the principles that shape sound financial choices and long-term financial well-being.

The event featured Shaheen Siam, Founder of Bini, as the distinguished speaker. Drawing from his entrepreneurial experience and practical understanding of finance, he shared valuable perspectives on financial literacy and the importance of making informed financial decisions. His insights enabled participants to connect fundamental financial concepts with real-world applications, encouraging them to develop a more practical and informed approach toward managing their financial lives.

Distinguished guests and esteemed faculty members present at the occasion included Dr. Mohammad Faridul Alam, Director (MBA Program), Department of Accounting; Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Islam Talukdar, Professor, Department of Management; Bohi Shajahan, Senior Assistant Professor, Department of Finance and Mentor, AIUB Finance Club; Quazi Nur Alam, Assistant Professor, Department of Finance and Mentor, AIUB Finance Club; and Nusrat Nowreen Srabonty, Lecturer, Department of Management. Their presence, support, and encouragement added greater significance to the occasion and reinforced the importance of practical financial education for students. The event was graciously hosted by Fatin Binte Raihan and Shawkat Tazhsir.

The session was further enriched by a spirited Quiz Competition, providing participants with an interactive opportunity to test their knowledge, challenge their perspectives, and engage with real-world financial concepts. Exciting prizes and goodie bags added to the enthusiasm of the occasion, while a Special Activation Booth at the Annex 2 Lobby introduced an additional interactive dimension to the overall experience. The vibrant participation and engagement of students contributed significantly to the energetic atmosphere throughout the event.
